Locomotive Control Enclosures

We engineer and build large electrical / electronics enclosures for the mass transit industry as well as small sheet metal items. We are ready to fabricate an enclosure to meet your special needs. Below are some examples of products we have made.

Large (~8'H x ~4'W x ~10'L) steel electronics enclosure powder coated inside and out for corrosion resistance...

Locomotive Inverter box for an AC drive. Made of carbon and stainless steel coated with a high dielectric paint.

Major locomotive subassembly approximately 4'H X 10' W X 16'L

Primed for later top coat.

Major locomotive subassembly approximately 9'H X 7' W X 20'L

Internal parts primed, exterior painted white.

Dynamic Brake Housing approximately 3'H X 6'W X 6'L

Made of tubing and sheet and powder coated white.

Locomotive Components

Reflector that is mounted behind an LCD display to evenly distribute light through the display.

This is a housing for the reflector above made of stainless steel and powder coated (masked in some areas).

This is an air inlet cover made of stainless steel and a core grill to stop debris. Unit is hinged for cleaning.

This is an electrical control cabinet made of steel with machined parts welded in and a hinged lid. It is powder coated with the threaded studs masked for protection.

Key Benefits:

  • Boxes welded and inspected in-house to American Welding Society standards.
  • Weldments as large as 10' x 10' x 20'
  • Welded and /or caulked for water / weather tight enclosure
  • Precision fabrication to assure proper assembly.
  • Many major systems around the country have components we have made.
