We make a variety of rack mount cabinets to meet the specific needs of our customers. Off the shelf cabinets often lack some features needed to complete a product. These non-standard modifications are typically expensive or consume in-house resources that could be better utilized. This is where we can offer a custom cabinet to meet your needs at a reasonable cost. We make simple open racks to EMI/RFI shielded and seismic rated enclosures.
The simplest rack mount cabinet is an open rack. This provides standard Electronic Industries Alliance (E.I.A.) mounting holes and spacing so that any equipment meeting that standard will fit in these racks. The rack shown is 44U (standard units) high and has passed category 5 seismic testing for the telecommunications industry. Racks can be painted or plated (shown). A typical application would be for telecommunications equipment mounted in a room or hut.
Other E.I.A. rack cabinets enclose the equipment and have adjustable rails to position equipment in them as desired. They can have front and rear doors and be mounted in a number of ways. They are available in various sizes depending on the amount of equipment they are to hold.
Completely enclosed cabinets allow for better grounding of equipment and optionally have EMI/RFI shielding to prevent electrical interference as well as environmental gaskets. A typical application would be in a communications center. Basic AC wiring options are available as well as standard telephone junctions.
Custom 19" rack mount cabinets to customer specifications.
The most complex rack is completely enclosed with environmental and EMI/RFI shielding with air filters and fan mounts to protect and cool components. This style cabinet also has passed seismic testing for use in controlling power plants. Options include a center mounting panel or rack mount rails, removable base and a removable lower back for mounting in close quarters. The frame, side panels and doors are plated (for shielding and grounding) and then painted.
